Just call me Liza

I have always been creative - I imagined images and landscapes in my head since childhood, which I used to realise by designing my own garden or building an aquarium, which consisted of building blocks with hanging paper fish, and later through photography. I did internships in advertising agencies and applied for communication design, as the subject of design appealed to me. But this was not to be yet, rejections followed. With my photographic work, I not only rediscovered my creativity, but also my autodidactic and organisational skills, taking everything into my own hands, from make-up and styling to location scouting.

This was followed by a degree in art history, because I wanted to stay in the field of art, even if I was no longer an creator myself. I worked in art and cultural institutions, where I learned a lot and was given responsibility, for example for the Haus am Lützowplatz for a fortnight with the holiday replacement. In other institutions, I accompanied projects in which I worked with InDesign, supervised artists and supported the team with organisational tasks, among other things. Even though I always felt comfortable in this environment, my heart was not completely fulfilled, something was always missing. Exactly, being creative myself.

It took me a while to recognise myself and understand that I am a creative person who needs to live that out as a designer. To get closer to my dream, I completed further training as a graphic designer. Now I am looking for the practical career entry as such.
